Just released: "Promoting Service Delivery Sustainability through Policy Change: Opportunities in FY13." Read it here.

• A study regarding the "Provision of Selected Services for Clients with Intellectual Disabilities" was released earlier today. The recommendations, if implemented, have the potential to fundamentally shift service delivery to individuals with intellectual and developmental services in Connecticut, making the system of care more sustainable and inclusive over time. • "Southbury — $907 Per Day! — Preparing to Move Clients Out" is the title of Rick Green's recent entry for December 20.  Read it here. 

• "Connecticut's dual system of public and private services for the developmentally disabled is very costly, according to a new legislative report that recommends eventually shifting to a fully private system." Read the entire Associated Press article posted to the Courant website.

The Arc CT Announces Additional Free Planning Workshops for Parents: "After the Cap & Gown"

The Arc CT, with the generous support of the Star Foundation, has been presenting a series of free workshops entitled "After the Cap & Gown: How to Plan for your Child with Developmental Disabilities."

This workshop series was designed for parents of children with developmental and/or intellectual disabilities between 15 and 21 years old. The feedback has been tremendous. Please share this information widely.
